The former Brazilian president taken into custody after being declared a flight risk
Bolsonaro has been arrested after authorities found he posed a concrete flight risk while under domestic detention.
The former head of state was convicted of plotting a government overthrow in September and sentenced more than a 27-year term in jail, but he continued under house arrest pending court reviews.
Top Judicial Official Alexandre de Moraes said the decision to arrest the elderly politician was a safety action after "new facts" came to light.
