Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
