In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also adds the game's newest free story content, titled "The Mystery."
